Brother Walfrid Launch Event

Friday November 7 2014

Here we explore our event that seen the unveilng of the immense original portrait of Brother Walfrid by Peter Howson itself.
After 3 years of research and development that went in to the box set and finding the correct way to present such an important figure as Walfrid, we knew the subject matter of his legacy, life and charity had to be taken on by the press – to pass on our message, that Walfrid must be know and recognised for his charitable endeavours , praised and celebrated!. We wanted to invite people along to witness the original in all its glory and meet the man themselves .
That day, on display we had the Limited edition print box set .A chance for the guests to feel the quality of the product- to feel the luxurious fibres of the 100% cotton paper and tangibility of the product’s beautiful packaging. Apparent was the complexity of its hologram system and hand crimped stamp that seal the limited print’s authenticity into the ink of the very print people were to purchase .

It was on November 6, 1887 that Brother Walfrid gathered a group of men together in the church hall of St Mary’s Parish, Calton, Glasgow to form Celtic Football Club.He said “A football club will be formed for the maintenance of dinner tables for the children and unemployed.’ and this is why to hold our Launch on Friday the 7th of November was so important to us . Our guests , the likes of Brian Dempsey former Director of Celtic , Matt Mcglone (The Celtic View,The Alternative View , author and journalist Richard Purden (Celtic through and through ) Frank McAvennie and Stv to mention a few couldn’t help but comment on our choice of date and how Walfrid’s spirit and charitable ethos was felt in the room …. we were all there for Walfrid .

The day seen us host 3 Press screenings – A blogger’s Breakfast at 10am , the Press Lunch at 2pm and another at 3pm for all to hear Peter Mullan , our BAFTA award winning voice, over belt through the Blythswood Hotel private Cimema’s speakers telling us the History of Celtic football club and the man behind it .
The day was also covered by STV , with us appearing on The Riverside show on Monday 10th of November to speak of the project and availability of the limited edition print .

Please see our Media page for the rest of our spectacular coverage , advertisements and media takeover that the depiction Brother Walfrid by Peter Howson has taken by storm .
